Well since yesterday was Easter and I love throwing parties, it was the perfect excuse for one. This was the second year I have thrown an Easter party and I know there will be many more to come. I got up bright and early and started cooking first thing in the morning. Since being pregnant with baby #2 I have been so tired so I decided to do finger foods instead of a full on dinner. I made; bacon wrapped pineapple, cheese and ham puffs, pizza pockets and brownies. Gg-ma brought cookies, meatballs and a meat tray, Noni brought a cheese and cracker tray, and Grandma Melanie brought deviled eggs. Laci looked so cute in the easter dress we bought her, she has a tough time trying to crawl in it so decided walking was much easier. We first ate all the delicious food and then dyed eggs. Laci kicked off the party by knocking over the purple dye all over the table. Then she decided dying the eggs was much easier.
She was very proud of what she did and she only put a small crack in one egg. Everyone had such a great time dying and drawing on the eggs.
We then let Laci open her gifts and basket. Laci got a new book, a pillow, a big yellow duck she had had her eye on, and various other things.
She has such a good time playing around and all of the adults loved dying eggs. I think I love it just as much as a little kid.

Our Baby Girl is 1
Yesterday our beautiful baby girl turned one!! It seems like just yesterday that we were in the hospital having her. We arent able to have her birthday party until April 10th so I will post pictures then. For her actual birthday yesterday we had a small get together with just my parents and grandparents. Grandma Melanie and Grandpa Dennis were sick so they couldn’t come. Any-ways Laci opened a couple gifts and then enjoyed a cup-cake that I had made for her. Man, she got so mad when we tried to take it away from her. My mom took the pictures so they will be up as soon as I get them from her. In other news, Laci has a few new tricks she has learned in the past few weeks. When asked how old she is, she promptly puts up one finger (unless shes being shy). She also woke up this morning and decided she was ready to walk. She had been taking a step here and there but this morning she really took off. This is a video from this morning, tonight she was doing much better and actually walked across the entire living-room.
We are so proud of our little Monka and all of the new things that she has learned to do.

Valentines Day Weekend Celebration
This year for Valentines Day we decided to take a family trip to the coast. We got there Saturday afternoon and walked along the beach. It was pretty breezy and Laci needed a nap so we went and checked into our hotel room. Sunday we decided to take Laci to Ocean World. She enjoyed watching all the fish and loved the sea-lion show.
After going to Ocean World we went bowling. We both did pretty bad and Laci really enjoyed watching all of the people around us. Monday the weather was much better, and since it was bright and sunny we decided to spend our day at the beach. Laci really enjoyed the sand, until she rubbed it in her eyes and mouth.
Laci is getting bigger by the day. She will be 1 on March 15th and we are not sure where the time has gone. She loves to be silly, especially when you get out the camera. She is cruising along the furniture all of the time and took her first alone step yesterday. Her newest trick is that she dances A LOT!! She is constantly swaying back and forth and wiggling her hips. She also has noticed that she can sing. She sings quite often and it never ceases to crack me up.

Snowy Days and Messy Ways
This past Friday Jimmy decided to take the day off of work so we could go snowboarding up at Mount Ashland. I had never been before but Jimmy had many times. We had my grandparents watch Laci and we went in the morning. After we got our rentals we went on our first run. I fell so many times going down the mountain it was embarrassing. I could tell jimmy was getting bored so I let him go on some of the black diamond runs (the hard ones). After a full day of boarding I finally made it all the way down the mountain on my last run. I think the worst part was getting off of the lift, and we will def. be going again.
On Monday we made the realization that Laci had her first tooth. We had no idea that she was even teething let alone had a tooth already broken through. You always hear the horror stories about teething babies but Laci didn't show any signs. Laci has been not wanting to eat any baby food lately, she would rather eat off of our plates. I decided this morning to give her some blackberries on her tray so she could eat them. She decided that she would much rather rub them in her hair and all over her face.
Laci is growing by leaps and bounds now. She crawls all over the place and loves it if we chase her. She is standing on her own and walks along anything she can get her hands on. She is so silly and loves to play games.

Merry Christmas to all,and to all a good night

Later in the week i took Laci to go see santa for the first time. She wasn't to sure about him and prefered to play with his dog then pay attention to him. She did however, try to yank off him beard a few times and succeeded once.
Its a little tall but she loves it.

Reno!!!
This past weekend we went to Reno with my grandparents. We took Laci with us and we left Friday afternoon. We drove to Reno and arrived around 2p. We had tickets to see Kate Voegele at the Grand Sierra Resort and so as soon as we arrived in Reno my grandparents went to gamble at Atlantis (where we were staying) and we drove to The G.S.R to get in line for the concert. We stood in line from 3pm til 7:15pm when we got let into the theater. After we got into the theater we stood in front of the stage til approx 8pm when Kevin Hammond went on stage as her opening act. He was AWESOME!! I had no clue who he was until that night but he was amazing. I recommend everyone to check him out. After he left at approx 8:30pm we stood there for an hour waiting for Kate. It was a little annoying but well worth it. From the time Kate took the stage until the end it was AMAZING. The set list was a little short but she doesnt make it. After the concert ended we had backstage passes so we got to go meet her and talk to her a little bit, she was so nice!! We told her we had driven 4.5hrs to get there and stood in line for 5 hours to see her, all with our 7.5 month old baby, she said we were super heros!!! After the meet and greet we went back to the hotel to get Laci from my grandparents and we went to bed since it was midnight.
On Saturday we went to circus circus and played all of the arcade and circus style games. Jimmy gambled a little bit and won $230. We had a really good time. After that we went back to the hotel and took Laci swimming in the pool, she had a blast kicking and splashing in the water. After that Jimmy and my grandpa went to gamble a little bit and I stayed upstairs in the room and looked for a place to eat. Jimmy won another $100 during that and decided he was finished. We got ready and went to pizza (amazing) and then went to the Disney Princesses on Ice show. We had really good seats and it was so fun. Laci loved watching them skate with all of the lights and music, and she sat through 2.5 hours of it with no problems.

On Sunday we got up and went to breakfast and then decided to hit the road. We went to Trader Joe's to get some strawberry Australian licorice, and then we went to the huge Cabela's. It was so big and had hundreds of stuffed animals. It was so cool and Laci really enjoyed watching the fish in the aquarium.

After that we went the rest of the way home. We are all so tired but it was so worth it and we cant wait to go back again!!
